Our project sites are located in the Strasbourg-Kehl urban development axis and mainly at Citadelle as well as the Kehl railway station.

This project aims at dealing with the energy and mobility problems in metropolitan Strasbourg from urban design and architecture levels. In the beginning, we analyzed the challenges as well as the opportunities of Strasbourg to better understand this metropolitan context. Facing those problems, we then based our work on the condition of Strasbourg to find suitable theoretical approached including archipelago city and compact city, which can help to guide the main direction. Going further for spatial design, we used additional two concepts – weaving and non-stop – to implement the theories from energy, green space networks, public space networks, mobility networks, mixed function and architectural mobility hub views. In a word, all these steps are under the discipline of sustainable energy as well as mobility and in the metropolitan Strasbourg framework.
