Urban Act

The aim of the research is to transform towards low-carbon & resilient urban development through enhanced vertically integrated climate sensitive urban planning contributing to NDC implementation in China. Key outputs will include:

Output 1 Policy: This output will create technical guidance and policy recommendations at the national level for MNR to advance more effective integration of climate action into spatial planning at the city level. 

Output 2 Planning:This output will focus on the two pilot cities, provisionally identified as Jiaxing and Xiamen, as a means of gaining a detailed understanding of how low-carbon measures and indicators can be applied at the city level. 

Output 3 Action: The objective of Output 3 is to develop a range of tools and action plans to put the policy recommendations defined in Output 2 into action, in the pilot cities.
