This was the second workshop organised in Shanghai within the framework of the ENSAS-CAUP Tongji partnership in 2013.

This edition proposed to question the trajectory of Shanghai within the globalization phenomenon and particularly the digital revolution. The design projects thus seek to draw on the city's heritage and memory, while also recognizing its digital and futuristic dimension, in search of a balance between smart city and human city.

The site of the former World Expo 2010 was the chosen playground for this design exploration.
