Strasbourg Métropole. Images et Récits pour la Ville-Archipel

The book proposes a reflection on the way in which Strasbourg has given consistency, since the beginning of the 1980s, to a "concerted" approach to the city project. If the methods, themes and notions of this debate have evolved, the issue of urban concern combined with that of Strasbourg's metropolitan future is more than ever relevant. Present in current projects, these questions need to be integrated into future scenarios and projects, overhung by new challenges that are placing the city in a cross-border and global dimension. The objective is to reveal what has been thought and undertaken in order to contribute to the construction of today's intellectual postures focused on new challenges, while taking into account the teaching and the strong moments of its recent history.
