This project is an attempt to regenerate the "lost" land of Strasbourg: the Gare Basse. Firstly, the key point of the project is to re-establish the link between two parts of the city : the city-centre and Western neighbourhoods. This project will break up the barriers and build up pedestrian and cycling passages connecting the two parts. Secondly, the project creates a beautiful and quiet place for people to live, work and relax, which means a mix-use, integrated landscape design for Gare Basse, with green transportation and without the disturbance of vehicle traffic. Regarding mobility, personal research on the equity of tramway plan helps to understand the matching of transportation needs and infrastructure possibilities. At last, this project on Gare Basse aims to bring a dynamic place to Strasbourg and its people.
